Chi Tutors grew from the belief that quality math instruction should be accessible to all. In 2022, Oren joined FORA (Forging Opportunities for Refugees in America), a Chicago-based nonprofit, as a volunteer math tutor — dedicating 200+ hours specifically to FORA students and earning the President's Volunteer Service Award.
After starting as a FORA volunteer in 2022, Oren began offering 1-on-1 private tutoring — both in person and online — in 2023, bringing that same student-first philosophy to a wider range of learners. In 2025, Oren served as a teaching assistant for AP Calculus AB at Lane Tech High School, directly under department head Mark Hamel, deepening his command of the curriculum and the craft of instruction.

This 5-day course is designed to help students build a strong foundation for AP Calculus. Topics include functions and graphing, essential algebra and trigonometry skills, rates of change and mathematical modeling, limits and continuity, and an introduction to derivatives. Through review, problem-solving, and calculus preview activities, students will strengthen prerequisite skills and gain confidence with the key concepts they will encounter in AP Calculus.
